Born and raised in the historic naval city of Portsmouth, England, Charles is the eldest of three children of Angela (Palmer), a special educations teacher, and Andrew Spencer Clark, a respected draughtsman. Before entering the American film and stage scene, Charlie, as he prefers to be called, made his living working as a tennis coach and CAD technician. But always a lover of movies and seeking more than his beloved industrial dockyard had to give, decided to move across the Atlantic to Los Angeles where he enrolled at the famed 'Stella Adler Academy of Acting'.During his time at the academy, Charlie became known for his versatility and raw, energetic performances and his name was soon being thrown around town as the actor to keep an eye on. One reporter even kited him as "The most exciting figure in the British invasion of Hollywood". He consistently performed lead and supporting roles in a slew of plays with the prominent 'Stella Adler Lab Theatre' (of whom's members include Mark Ruffalo, Benicio Del Toro, Holland Taylor and Sean Astin), but stated he would be transferring sole focus to the screen for a while. Promising to still approach his characters with the same dedication and honesty, but, on a personal level, feeling like cinema is where he really had something unique and never-before-seen to offer the world. As a dual citizen of the UK and United States, Charlie currently lives in sunny California and supports his hometown football team, Portsmouth "Pompey" FC from afar. Repeatedly stating it would be a dream to someday star in a movie about his club. Show less «
