Charles K. Redlinger (known as C.K.) was born in 1970 in Camp Lejeune, NC to a mother and father who were both U.S. Marines. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and enlisted in the U.S Marines in 1988. Initially an infantryman, he deployed overseas at a Marine Security Forces Guard and later as an assault team leader, explosive breacher and close quarters battle instructor before leaving active duty in 1994. He would later re-enlist in the Marine Reserves as a military police officer. He entered the DeKalb County Police Department (Atlanta, GA) in 1994 where he worked as a patrol officer, detective in the Robbery/Homicide Unit, a patrol sergeant, a sniper team leader in SWAT and as the unit commander of the Vice Squad. He received over 20 commendations for actions in the line of duty and left the department in 2004 to pursue work overseas. While overseas, he spent the next 11 years in high-threat areas providing close protection for US diplomats, managing security projects and running large government training programs. He was one of the original team members to open the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center in Amman, Jordan and became a key architect in developing and managing the Annual Warrior Competition. In 2013, he and former SAS trooper Harry Taylor, started "MissionX", a special operations adventure company that also provides military support and technical advisory services for the film & TV industry.
