Celeste Stoney is an American musical recording artist, actress, producer and songwriter signed to her own record label, Level Music Entertainment and Peermusic. She was born Felicia Celeste Scalone in Phoenix, Arizona and was later raised in Los Angeles. Her parents, Michelle Sparrow, an accounting professional, and Alan Scalone, an entrepreneur, divorced when she was very young. As a child, all Celeste wanted was to become a singer, and she was driven by the music of the 80s-90s like Michael Jackson, Madonna, Mary J. Blige, Aerosmith, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. Her sound is a mix of pop, soul and retro funk.She got her start in as a demo singer and songwriter working with the Grammy Award winning producer 7 Aurelius. As her first release in 2003, was a feature with Ja Rule on the song Ja Rule: Murder Reigns (2003). Celeste has appeared as a Semi-Finalist on American Idol: The Search for a Superstar: Hollywood Eliminations: Part 2 (2006) and a finalist on Making the Band 3 (2005).
