Cassäundra Sloan (Jolicoeur) is a French Canadian director, producer and actress born in Ottawa, Ontario on March 25, 1996. Her first film role was in 2013 as Christy Fletcher in 'I Was a Greenhouse' directed by Adrian Konstant (Fable Forest Films) which became an official feature selection at the Grand River Film Festival. The experience of being on set drove Sloan to transition her focus from acting to directing, and in 2016, Sloan conceived 'Girl North Studios' to produce and develop content of the science-fiction/adventure genre. In 2015, Sloan played the title character in Joshua Chislett's short, 'Hadley', which was an official selection in the 2016 Grand River Film Festival (GRFF) and played a supporting role in the independent feature, 'Porcupine Lake' (2017) written and directed by award winner, Ingrid Veninger. In December 2016, short comedic film 'Pool Guys', which was created by Sloan and starred her child siblings, was awarded 3rd place for Comedic Short in the Celtx Seeds Film Contest and premiered in its first big-screen-debut at the Bickerman's Grove Premiere Gala for Fable Forest Films. The same year, Sloan developed documentary web-series "Cass Docs" which published its very first episode "Kaladar: Peace & Prospecting" following Sloan's journey through Northern Ontario on a search for gold.Sloan's first official narrative short film "Alien Ramen" which was developed and cast throughout the duration of the year was released online on June 30th 2017 and as an official selection in the Durham Region International Film Festival on September 23, 2017.
