Carmell began her training in drama and dance as a child. She was then cast in a BBC schools show "music time" and a play at the London Palladium, after only training for a month and had 2 roles in the play. She kept up the training as she believes an actor should never stop perfecting their craft. In between acting work Carmell has also had several modeling jobs. Modelling for Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier and was the face of "Joystick Junkies." She got the Joystick Junkies job as a winner of their national model competition. She has since been crowned the "Face of Touch" by Touch magazine and The Source magazines "Dimepiece" (perfect 10). Carmell also has starred in a music video for top US artist Noreaga and Hydro's "All Y'All." Carmell then went on a to work on "Dubplate Drama" series two. She played the role of Anna who was the lead video model for a rappers video. She got intoxicated and was then sexually assaulted. When the police intervened however she covered for the guy who had assaulted her and attacked the girl who called the police. This storyline was based on real events. Carmell enjoyed her work on the series and has great respect for the team responsible for the show. Carmell has since chosen work that benefits different charities and awareness campaigns. In fact one such campaign led to outrage as some viewers believed they were witnessing real events. She has worked on several ad campaigns for top brands like O2, ESPN, Virgin Media, and Big Brother UK. She has also presented an online and TV computer game show and a dating show.
