Carlotta Summers is a multitalented, biracial, theatre trained, award winning Actress, Writer, and Producer living in NYC. CEO of her own production company Wild Cat Film, she wrote, produced, and starred in a powerful anti-bullying film, Butterflies, which won Best Short Film and Best Actress for a short film at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival in 2018.Born in Maryland, she began acting at the age of 6 in her elementary school's theater program. In high school, she was given the honor of performing at The Shakespeare Theatre Co. in Washington D.C. for the Text Alive performance of Titus Andronicus and later, garnered an award for Best Actress for her performance in The Wiz in 2008.A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, with a BFA in Theater and minor in Psychology, a few of her notable film and television credits since graduation include the title role of Saltire in Choice Film's "Big Dogs," a Featured role in Shonali Bose, "Margarita, With A Straw," & serving as Associate Producer for Ponyboi, a film produced by Stephen Fry & co-produced by Emma Thompson.She also had the opportunity of working with actress Keira Knightley and director Evan Cabnet in Broadway's Therese Raquin, as assistant to the fight director.She continues to train in hand to hand combat and weapon work.
