Carlos is a Spanish/Venezuelan director and cinematographer. After attending Architecture school, Carlos moved to Los Angeles where he received a Masters in Cinematography from the American Film Institute. Carlos is a Spanish/Venezuelan director and cinematographer. After attending Architecture school, Carlos moved to Los Angeles where he received a Masters in Cinematography from the American Film Institute. While at A.F.I. he photographed the thesis film "Last Breeze of Summer" which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Live Action Short.As cinematographer, Carlos has photographed many feature films and TV movies including "Almost a Woman" for PBS/Masterpiece Theater, "Doña Bárbara" for Universal Studios and "Wishmaster 2" for Artisan Entertainment. His television credits include Ryan Murphy's "The New Normal" for NBC, VH1's "Single Ladies", and "Big Time Rush" for Nickelodeon. He recently directed the three hour mini-series "Lost In The West" for Nickelodeon/Viacom International, as well as the award winning Freeform/ABC Family show "Switched at Birth" and "100 Things To Do Before High School".Carlos is a member of the Directors Guild of America and the International Cinematographers Guild.
