A graduate of UCLA with a degree in English Literature/Creative Writing, Camille launched her filmmaking career with the short film "Sweet Potato Ride," executive produced by Bill Duke (Predator, Deep Cover, Sister Act II). She has sold screenplays to Sony, Universal, New Line, Fox TV and Disney studios and has worked with a number of prolific producers including Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, Marc Platt, Stacey Snider, Todd Garner, Kevin Misher, Debra Chase and John Singleton. She has produced 6 short films and has won awards for several of them. Cellular, which she wrote and directed, won Best Narrative Short at the 2013 Roxbury International Film Festival. She has also been a semi-finalist in the Motion Picture Academy's Nicholl Screenwriting Competition and a two-time Sundance Writer's Lab semi-finalist.Recently, she optioned her screenplay, "Blessed in the City," an inspirational romantic comedy, to a production company with a studio deal. In addition, Camille serves as full-time faculty as a Professor of Screenwriting at Biola University. She has also recently begun the pursuit of an MFA in Writing for TV and Film at Loyola Marymount University.In her free time, Camille enjoys teaching filmmaking to at-risk teens through the Bill Duke Youth Media Bootcamp.
