Dr. Cash is double-board-certified in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery, the first female and one of only 2 African-Americans in the state of Texas with this distinction. Dr. Cash's extensive training began with her undergraduate work at Howard University in Washington, D.C. After graduating magna cum laude from Howard, Dr. Cash earned her M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She went on to complete a five-year general surgery residency through St. Joseph Hospital, followed by a two-year residency in plastic surgery, during which she served as chief resident in plastic surgery. After completing her formal training, Dr. Cash founded her private practice, which is celebrating its 15-year anniversary.
