Cali Treadwell Rossen is an actress, writer, director and producer, who grew up in Hyannis, Massachusetts. She began her journey as a professional actress in the 90's subsequently taking a theatre class @ the University of N. Texas.Her launch into the acting sphere was in the Italian film, 'Doors of the Unknown', Written & Directed by Mauro Salvi. Cali was cast in dual roles, and filming was complete over 45 days in a fantastical location in and around the city of Chiavari, Italy.At the same time shooting the TV Pilot, Actors Reel World, in Los Angeles in 2001, she made the move permanent. When Cali was established she co-founded a production company & cultivated a vast foundation of experience. She produced numerous film projects & acted in more than 20 films, various television shows, and stage productions. Among her films, 'The Sand Castle', she acts opposite multi-Emmy Award winner, Ed Asner, who was cast to be her father.In 2011 she became a children's ambassador for Save the Children of Tibet project, and was honored to meet with His Holiness the Dalai Lama many times. She now is in production on a documentary film about the Tibetan and Himalayan children.Cali, along with her husband, Chris Rossen, an award winning screenplay writer traveled to Tunis, Tunisia 6 months after the revolution started in 2011 to co-produce a film. The foreign film, 'The Locker's Heart', written & directed by Ghazi Gafsa was completely filmed in Gafsa, Tunisia. Cali plays a CIA Agent, Lidia who is captured by Irakians and tortured. Her husband in the film is played by Tunisian Star Nejib Belhassen. Show less «
