Cala Gamun is an Chilean actress, playwright, screenwriter, dancer and director based in Mexico. She was born on May 19, 1986 in Santiago, Chile. She is of Spanish, German & Portuguese descent. Cala began acting as a child as a member of the Karen Conolly Dance Company, where she made her stage debut in Karen Conolly's production "Alice in Wonderland". She appeared in many more productions through her early teens until, at the age of fifteen, she decided that she wanted to make acting her career. Graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (Santiago, Chile), specialized in the study of the Sanford Meisner technique at the San Antonio Baños International Film and Television School (Cuba). She has acted in multiple short films, movies, television series and plays in Chile, Brazil, Cuba and Mexico. Among her latest works, she starred in the short film "My name is Lena" by Spanish director Jeanette Conesa and participated in the series "The closest things to love" by Mexican director Carlos Mendoza Guillén. She lives in Mexico, Spain and Chile working on different audiovisual and theatrical projects.
