Graduate of the American Musical & Dramatic Academy (New York, N.Y), Byron Paul Johnson is a Montreal born Canadian, son of Paul Ioannou-Johnson (born in Athens, Greece) and mother Ann Mariasine (Johnson) born in Sherbrooke, Quebec. From an early age (7 to 8 years old), Byron Paul Johnson was learning acting (theatre) and classical piano. Upon starting his career in television, he appeared with Jay Baruchel on Are You Afraid of the Dark?, a Canadian hit TV series. His first feature film role came in Habitat, where he played Will, alongside stars Balthazar Getty and veteran actor Kenneth Welsh. Following that, director Brian de Palma selected him as an actor in Snake Eyes next to Gary Sinise. His break-out role came in Going to Kansas City, where he played George, the female lead's soon to be ex-boyfriend, starring veteran actor Michael Ironside as the Sheriff. He also appeared in a number of lead roles in commercials spanning the country including retailers Brault & Martineau (1995) and GM Goodwrench (TV commercial series, 2004). A triple threat (Actor, Singer, Dancer), he can also be rated as an accomplished Jazz-Blues & Pop Pianist/Keyboardist (performer/singer & current recording artist), professional voice-artist (formerly a principal & recurring character on the Little Lulu Show) and current Television/Film/Theatre actor, with future ambitions in Stand-Up Comedy & Writing.
