Briana Liu was born in Maryland and raised in Beijing until she was five, returning to the U.S. for her education. She continued to travel between the U.S. and China, maintaining her ties with both cultures and developing a native fluency in Chinese and English. She attended Princeton University and graduated magna cum laude in Politics and Environmental Studies. In college she acted lead roles in the plays "Train Station" and "I'm Not Li Bai." She eventually decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a professional career in acting. In 2019, Briana made her feature film debut in the romantic comedy The Lovebirds. She landed a TNT/TBS pilot The President Test, and co-starred in the Netflix comedy On My Block. An interest in creating her own narratives drew her to filmmaking. Metro is her first. Show less «
