Brent Mukai was born and raised in Pearl City, Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. In the summer of 2007 he moved to the mainland to pursue his passion for writing and acting. While attending the University of Las Vegas Nevada, he volunteered with Brass Taurus Productions; a local Vegas film crew in October of 2007. After paying his dues holding a boom mic and moving lights, he eventually got a chance to write and act in a number of their short films.By the time the company disbanded and reformed under the name Somnium Productions in March of 2010, he had secured a firm role in the company. He made his directing debut in Somium's first film: House Rules, and played the part of Bulgogi in their blaxploitation/kung-fu/comedy Sweet Ninja Brown.Brent is also a performer in Las Vegas' longest running Improv show; Jest Serendipity, and an instructor of their high school improv comedy league; the High School Jesters. He has performed improv professionally on the Las Vegas Strip in the Paris Hotel, and the Palms Hotel and Casino.
