In 2000, Brenda McNeill fought off competition from thousands of hopefuls across Britain and Ireland to present Channel Five's Saturday morning live show 'The Core'. Since then, the Belfast girl has come a long way. The actress is celebrating the release of British crime drama 'The Fall' playing the newsreader alongside leading lady Gillian Anderson. An actress of the small screen for over twenty years, Brenda has racked up an impressive list of television, film and commercial credits. After graduating a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Broadcasting and Production in 2001, Brenda took up the coveted role of Presenter and Producer for Irish Radio Network in New York. She produced interviews with some of the world's most noted celebrities and dignitaries including; Liam Neeson, Gabriel Byrne, Alicia Keyes, The Corrs, Bob Geldof, Rudolph Giuliani, Mike Bloomberg and Former President of Ireland Mary McAleese. After finding success in New York, she began hosting her own show 'Celtic Tracks' and later moved to the FM dial with Radio Erin, New York. Her move sparked major interest from BBC Northern Ireland and she was documented on BBC's 'Sky High New York' with Presenter Christine Bleakley. During her time in the big apple, she also graduated a Screen Acting Master in association with The Actors Studio and undertook Theatre Arts training at The Irish Arts Centre. In 2010, Brenda co-wrote and starred in BBC Northern Ireland's comedy sketch show 'LOL' and was chosen to appear in Remus Uomo's menswear spring / summer campaign. A commercial success, Brenda can also be seen in a number of television advertisements including Dromona, UTV Broadband and the Health Promotions Agency. 2013 saw her working alongside Gillian Anderson ('X-Files') and Jamie Dornan ('Fifty Shades of Grey') in acclaimed BBC drama 'The Fall'.
