Brandon Michael Arrington is an actor best known for originating the role of SuperJack in the North American stage adaptation of the novel and film Room (2015) by Emma Donoghue and Scottish director Cora Bissett. Brandon Michael is also noted for playing the role of Chad Danforth (the role created on screen by Corbin Bleu) in various regional theatre productions of Disney's "High School Musical: Premiers pas sur scène (2006)," and originating the role of Ziggy in the Off-Broadway production of "Captain Louie" by Stephen Schwartz ("Wicked"). Notable short films and web series include The Story of Jonah and the Whale (Sort of...) (2010)" (2010), Over There (2007) with Uzo Aduba (2007), and Quads! (2011) (2011).Brandon Michael attended Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, on the Presidential Scholarship and graduated a year early with a B.A. in Theatre Arts and a minor in Business. Upon moving to New York City, Brandon Michael appeared in numerous musicals including the national tours of "Peter Pan" (2000-01) and "Island of the Blue Dolphins"(2001-2002). Brandon Michael was also cited by the New York Times for his performance as Reggie in Jon Marans' and Edward Thomas' "Irrationals," and played the iconic role of Linus in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. In addition, Brandon Michael has booked commercials and international campaigns for brands such as AT&T, Logo, Smirnoff, and Bubly with Michael Bublé.In addition to performing, Brandon Michael loves working with kids. Has directed and choreographed productions of "Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr." at the Baryshnikov Arts Center and "The Most Epic Birthday Party Ever" at New York Live Arts as part of the Children's Musical Theatre Festival produced by The Broadway Workshop. Has also been an instructor, created original musical compositions, costumes, and curriculum with such Arts Education programs as Periwinkle National Theatre for Youth, The Professional Performing Arts School, Inside Broadway, and Camp Broadway. For more than 10 years was involved with D.A.R.E. America and D.E.A. Youth Dance, whose missions are to promote dance as a healthy alternatives to drug abuse and violence.In between gigs, Brandon Michael pursued a love of pastry with workshops and apprenticeships in the United States, New Zealand, Japan, and the South Pacific. As a professional pastry chef, Brandon Michael specialized in bespoke wedding cakes, custom gourmet gifts, and catered dessert receptions. Over time, Brandon Michael's business evolved into a wholesale supplier to New York City cafés.Brandon Michael, his husband, and their two children now split their time between New York City and Toronto, Canada.
