Born in Glendale, CA, located only minutes from the bright lights of Hollywood, Bodie Stroud never imagined he'd one day be building Hot Rods for Mega Super Stars, like Johnny Depp and Tim Allen, let alone become a TV Star himself, most recently appearing on Rock My RV (2013),alongside rocker and Reality TV Show star Bret Michaels. It is from his love of automobiles and his knack for "creating outside of the box" that has led Bodie down the road of success. Although the road has had a few bumps along the way, Bodie has managed to steer his business and his career in Entertainment to places he only dreamed about as a tow-headed little boy growing up in the Valley of Los Angeles. While attending Verdugo Hills High School, in Tujunga, CA, Bodie, not realizing it at the time, came upon his "first build". Needing a form of transportation to get him and his friends around town and to the beach on the weekends, Bodie found a "beat up" 1961 VW 18-window Micro Bus that he and his friends refurbished into a "cool driving machine"! After graduating high school, Bodie attended one year at Pasadena, CA's very well known Art Center. Taking a few Art classes, that included drawing, ultimately prepared Bodie in creating renderings of his own designs on paper, before successfully bringing them to life in the real world! In 2004, Bodie appeared on Discovery Channel's popular TV Show,"Monster Garage", with well-known builder and fabricator, Jesse James. It was during this time that Bodie learned he could actually pursue and share the artistic visions he had for cars and motorcycles. Not only did "Monster Garage" give him an outlet to create, it also set the "wheels in motion" for what was (soon) to be Bodie's new and exciting journey "behind and in front of the camera"; building "automotive masterpieces" for the Hollywood Elite. Even with his rugged and charming "good looks", it is Bodie's true talent for building "one of a kind" classic cars and his attention to the smallest details, that landed him beside TV Show host and Comedian Jay Leno, as well as famous race car driver, Mario Andretti. In fact, it was in 2010 that Bodie received huge applause from his fans and accolades from Andretti himself, for his 1969 Ford Boss 494 Mustang, which was on display at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Convention that year! Bodie created a Documentary around this extraordinary Mustang, titled, "The Real Thing". It was produced by Julian King and highlighted Bodie's journey of this magnificent and outstanding build. This documentary was chosen and awarded by Vimeo as a "Vimeo Staff Pick"! "The Real Thing" is still watched in awe by many automotive industry buffs today, as well as by young aspiring hot rod builders throughout the small towns of America. Later that same year, comedian Jay Leno asked Bodie to appear on his popular Podcast, "Jay Leno's Garage", highlighting Bodie and his 1969 Mustang. This one appearance resulted in more future appearances for Bodie on "Jay Leno's Garage", which is now seen by thousands on CNBC News Channel! After this experience, Bodie became even more used to being in front of the camera, as well as behind the mic. It was in 2011, to great applause, that Bodie started his very own Radio Show / Podcast, titled "In the Garage with Bodie Stroud". Through the years, Bodie's Radio Show has become even more popular, as he interviews and talks with people both in and out of the automotive industry. With his smooth and "laid back" California voice, Bodie puts his guests at ease, allowing them the freedom to open up and discuss what's important to them. "In the Garage with Bodie Stroud" can be heard on iHeart Radio, iTunes and CRN Talk Radio. Having already been on the air for over three years now and gaining huge Sponsors, such as Magnaflow, Steele Rubber Products, Miller Electric Welders, and BF Goodrich, to name a few, "In the Garage with Bodie Stroud" is bound to gain even more listeners in the coming years! Not only has Bodie appeared on "Jay Leno's Garage" and on "Hot Rod TV", he has also been featured several times on Actor, TV Show Host and Comedian Adam Carolla's Show, "Car Cast", which is viewed by thousands on YouTube each week! It is Bodie's wealth of knowledge in the automotive industry, paired with his undeniable charm and "rugged" good looks, that ultimately landed him on the Travel Channel's popular TV Show, "Rock My RV", alongside Poison's Bret Michaels. During his time on "Rock My RV", Bodie came to realize he had a true fan base. In fact, a few of his fans travelled as far away as Brazil to visit Bodie and tour his Los Angeles based shop, "BS Industries, Inc."! "Rock My RV" aired on the Travel Network and included 16 "one hour" episodes. Bodie's amazing artistic vision was featured to its' fullest capacity on each show. Every week, Bodie and Bret Michaels spent time creating custom RV's, way beyond any traveller's wildest dreams! "Rock My RV" can still be seen on Amazon, iTunes and in syndication on various cable channel outlets nationwide. Following "Rock My RV", Bodie continued to attract even more fans, young and old, through his ongoing Radio Show "In the Garage with Bodie Stroud", various Convention Appearances, Magazine Interviews and Autograph Sessions, not to mention, his outreach on Social Media. When Bodie's not busy with All of that, or building unique and personalized hot rods for major Hollywood superstars, like Johnny Knoxville, he's busy maintaining his very own Fashion Line of cool tees, hoodies and even customized Auto Parts, all under the creative seal of "Bodie Stroud Industries"! Currently, Bodie and his Crew are putting their "magic touch" on several builds for some top Hollywood stars, which can't be revealed just yet, but one can only guess! And, if creating hotrods, running a Fashion Line, and hosting his very own Radio Show and Podcast aren't enough, Bodie is currently in the process of securing another TV Show with a popular network.
