Activision Blizzard is home to some of the most popular video game franchises in history, including Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch and Candy Crush. In 2011, Kotick made a cameo appearance in Moneyball playing Oakland A's owner Stephen Schott. According to Reuters, Kotick struck a deal with director Bennett Miller who, in exchange for the uncredited cameo, will direct a short film for Activision's Call of Duty Endowment. Kotick co-founded the non-profit Endowment in 2009 to help veterans find high-quality careers after military service.
