Bob Johnnene was born in Boston, Massachusetts, attended Boston College High School, Boston College, Epiphany Apostolic College, Boston University and Marymont University. He bagan acting in High School and had his first professional appearance with the Poets Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His first Broadway appearance was with the Black Firers Theater in New York. He appeared in the following Broadway Productions: The Boyfriend, The Prodigal, Time For Singing, Once Upon A Mattress. His first directorial production was The Casket Maker at the Phase 2 theater which he helped found. He wrote and produced the musical review Broadway Dandies in 1976. Mr. Johnnene was also one of the founders of the City of Boston Summerthing festival and also executive producer and director of the following theater companies: Riverview Productions, Act One Productions, The Southeastern Massachusetts Area Regional Theater.He worked in more than 45 stage, television and film productions and is also credited with 2 comercials. He received an award from ABCTV for direction of the 'Intruder' episode of a locally produced series Playhouse Workshop at WNACTV in Boston. He also received a FAB (Film Advisory Board) award for Playhouse Workshop, a proposed childrens TV series, which was also recognized by the Amnerican Mothers Association. He has been recognized for his body of work in the entertainment industry as well as education by Marquis Who's Who In The West 1987/88.Mr. Johnnene retired from teaching in 2001 after more than 30 years and is currently working on a new play and attempting to return to the entertainment industry.
