Billy Stephenson was born in 1970 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Marjorie and William Stephenson. He has two older siblings, Danny and Diane. He discovered a love of acting and entertaining at a young age. After he graduated East Ridge High School in 1987, he started pursuing a career in country music. He has played in several bands, one of the most memorable being a bluegrass Gospel group called Picking to Beat the Devil, in which he played guitar and sang backup vocals. Billy also appeared on Discovery TV singing Del Shannon's "Runaway" (1987).In the acting world, Billy appeared in a TV commercial for The Landing through WEPG TV (2004) as a karaoke DJ. He was a race spectator in the 2005 "Dukes of Hazzard" movie. He has appeared on two episodes of ABC's "Nashville," as a concertgoer and a security guard. On the first season of CMT's "Still the King," he appeared in two episodes. You also may see Billy as a sign-holder in the Gospel music video with Cody McCarver for song Forgiven. (2015), and he was in the live audience of CMT's Top 20 countdown with Cody Allen and Charles Eaten (2016). Then, in the movie "Road Less Traveled" with Lauren Alaina (2016), he was wedding guest. Won New Comer Country of 2017 and New Group of 2017 from North Georgia Gospel Music Association.Billy's hobbies include classic cars, old TV shows and a love of music. He's a God-fearing Christian, divorced with a grown daughter. He still works in music and occasionally acts, with the hope to someday work in entertainment full-time.
