Bill Phillips can be seen in the Amazon series Z: The Beginning of Everything as H.L. Mencken and in the new Rob Meyer film Little Boxes (Tribeca Film Festival/Netflix). He is perhaps best known as Reverend Jenkins, Frank Underwood's (Kevin Spacey) hometown minister in the Netflix series House of Cards. Bill is at home on stage and screen and comfortable in both dramatic and comedic roles. He fell in love with theatre and New York at an early age. His mother brought him to the city from their home in St Petersburg, Florida many times. He saw snow and his first Broadway show when he was nine and was hooked. After graduating FSC with a BA degree in Theatre, he moved to New York City to begin his career. When he's not acting Bill enjoys traveling with his wife. They recently returned from their fifth trip to Bosnia where they've led groups rebuilding homes in the post-war country. Bill recently appeared on the New York stage in Penguin Rep's timely play, The Immigrant.
