Born in the Mile High city of Denver, Colorado, Ben Martinez started acting in high school after being inspired by Latino actors like Edward James Olmos, Antonio Banderas, and the great Raul Julia. A graduate from CU Denver where he majored in film studies and minored in performance, Ben has deep roots in the theater. He landed his first lead role in the third grade as Squanto in his school's Thanksgiving production. After graduating college, he had the great fortune to work with Tony Garcia at Denver's Su Teatro. in his free time, Ben likes to play guitar, take his family to the beach and cook. His favorite food is his grandmother's fry-bread... or stuffed sopapillas. He is a firm believer that there is a rhythm to life, and that music exists everywhere, whether that be the kitchen, shower, gym, on stage, or silently sitting by yourself in thought.
