Ben Kahre (pronounced 'kar ree) can be seen in the new critically acclaimed Marvel/Netflix series Jessica Jones and The Mysteries of Laura on NBC with Debra Messing and Josh Lucas. In addition, he was featured in the official Bob Dylan: Like a Rolling Stone music video as the romantic lead (channel 125). A dream unimagined! He also recently worked with Bob Krakower, Chazz Palminteri, Wendy Makkena, and Tony Spiridakis to produce the short films; The Broken Ones, Jane and Jared, Collapse, and Where's Willie. These films enjoyed much success throughout the short film festival circuit. The NYU student short, Kingdom Coming, directed by Alex Fofonoff received multiple awards including Best Student Film from the G.I. Film Festival in D.C. His other film credits include Gross Underestimation 2 and S.E.A.L.S: Domestic Warfare Ep 2.As a theatre artist, Ben recently took part in the Lincoln Center Theater's "Director's Lab" as a member of the 2015 Acting Company, a thrilling experience and honor. He was last seen Off-Broadway in Men and Women Talking Love and Sex at the Davenport Theater and recently portrayed Kenny Baird in the New York Off-Broadway Premiere of A Loss of Roses by William Inge at the Peccadillo Theater. He has also worked at Manhattan Theatre Club in The Commons of Pensacola directed by Lynne Meadow and starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Blythe Danner. In 2003, he made his Off-Broadway debut in The Steadfast by Mat Smart. He also performed in the world premiere of Carey Perloff's Higher at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Other favorite regional theatre credits include The Real Thing, Romeo and Juliet, Noises Off, and The Taming of the Shrew. As a part of A.C.T.'s Master of Fine Arts Program he appeared in productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream(Oberon/Theseus), The American Clock (Quinn) and The Rover (Belvile), The Three Sisters, Ion, The Comedy of Errors, Archangels Don't Play Pinball, Every Good Boy Deserves Favour, A Lie of the Mind, and Gruesome Playground Injuries.Ben received his M.F.A from the American Conservatory Theater and his undergraduate degree from the University of Evansville. He now resides in New York, NY.Along with acting, he is also a skilled stunt performer and athlete. His stunt skills include hand to hand fighting, sword fighting, found weapons, martial arts and experience in stair falls, ratchet, fire gags, high falls, air ram, gun handling, wire and harness work, rappelling, precision driving, etc.
