Behzad Dabiri is an actor and writer based in New York city. He studied theater in Washington DC while working construction and later moved to New York .He is best known for shows like Homeland and Madam secretary and has had various roles playing Henchman,Diplomat,Detective and Sargent and other roles in Film,daytime and Prime time Tv shows.He almost quit acting when he found out that his favorite teacher Stella Addler and the only person he wanted to study with had passed but he continued his studies in New york in workshops and classes learning Stella Adler's method.He was homeless living on the streets of Tehran as a kid for years and was kicked out of school and finally ended up moving out of country because of his families religious beliefs and after his life was threatened and finally moved to the States when he was a teenager.Behzad's favorite sport ever since he was a kid was basketball and his favorite team as a kid were the Bulls.His favorite things to do is to read books and is involved in youth empowerment, community building and after school programs in Harlem.He believes no matter how many times you fall ,you get back up and move on because,Thats Life!
