Barbara was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her high school years were spent either starring in musicals like Wizard of Oz and Godspell or modeling, so that's when she started calling herself a model/actress. When in her early twenties she made the big move to LA, her first agent offered her opportunities to work with some of the finest directors and photographers in the business. And when she seriously started studying acting, and her next agents starting building her career for her, Barbara knew there was no turning back. She had found her calling. Through a mix of unflappable grit, steely determination, endless tenacity, to say nothing of being in the right place at the right time, Barbara has been lucky enough to carve out a career that has not only been fulfilling, but shows tremendous staying power, unusual in this business.
