Artur Gorishti is an Albanian-born actor. His first role at age 21 in the controversial Dora e Ngrohte (1983) earned him a national film award for Best Actor. Performances in a number of other landmark films, including Andrea, in the internationally acclaimed film Slogans (2001)winner Best New Talent, Cannes; Grand Prix, Tokyo International Film Festival and Abaz in Father and Godfather (2007), have made him one of the country's best loved actors and helped bring Albanian cinema to the attention of audiences worldwide.Gorishti lives in Montreal, Canada, where he continues his career in both North American and European productions. Summer 2014 will see him starring as Ben, leading role in the film Bota.In addition to acting, Gorishti is an artist, with painting exhibitions in North America and overseas. His book of short stories, Dyert (Doors), was published in 2013.
