Arber Mehmeti was born in Prishtina, Kosovo and began performing onstage as a young child. Acting quickly developed into a passion that Arber has spent his life pursuing against the odds. He and his family narrowly escaped during the war and found their lives uprooted in a refugee camp. When they were finally able to return home, Arber became ever more focused on his life's dream, and when he graduated high school, he left his beloved homeland and family to pursue a degree in theatre at Graceland University in Iowa. While at Graceland University, Arber stretched himself as much as he could as an actor by performing in nearly every production at the school, and his efforts were well rewarded. His senior year, Arber won the Region V championship of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and was awarded the prestigious Irene Ryan Award. Still committed to his development as an actor, Arber moved on to California State University, Long Beach to pursue his MFA. He held the distinct honor of being the only member of his class to perform in every production, including "The Kentucky Cycle," which was nominated for the LA Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Ensemble. Arber is proud to be Albanian, multi-lingual, and member of SAG-AFTRA. Show less «
