After making several widely screened short films of the New Queer Cinema, she went on to teach film courses in the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Studies Department at City College of San Francisco. Anne later wed actress Megan Cavanagh (A League of Their Own, Exes & Oh's) during the brief period when same sex marriage was legal in California in 2008. They remain among the approximately 18,000 same sex couples still legally married in the state. As of 2012, Chamberlain teaches at Academy of Art University and lives in Hollywood, California.
