Anna Douglas was born In Toronto, Canada to a Canadian father and American mother, but left at age 2 for Nashville, Tennessee where she grew up. She discovered a love for acting and began her career on the stage at age 5, appearing in her first play, A Storybook Christmas (1995), at age 7. She began her TV and film career shortly after with the re-enactment series for PAX-TV, It's A Miracle (1998) and her first film "School Colors" (2000). At about age 14, she began a short-lived modeling career after being "discovered" in a White House Black Market, garnering her a well-known modeling agency to add to her representation. Anna's passion was still acting, however, and she attended the University of Evansville where she received her BFA in Theatre Performance. Anna lived in Florence, Italy for a time while in college, and appeared in several more short films in between school and regional summer stock professional theatre. Just after graduation in 2010, with plans of moving to New York City to pursue theatre full time, she was invited to attend The New Harmony Project, a prestigious writer's conference, as an actor where she met a number of influential industry professionals who opened her eyes back to the west coast. One month later she landed in Los Angeles where she lived for three years working in commercials, film, and theatre. Having always maintained her dual citizenship, Anna returned to Toronto in March of 2013 and most recently appeared in the new Canadian cop drama, "Played".
