Anahita Khalatbari is the great-granddaughter of Sepahsalar Tonekaboni-Khalatbari (Commander in Chief) who was of the Royal Khalatbari Family and served as Prime Minister of Iran for 4 terms. Due to his genius military skills and and national democratic following, he became the leader the constitutionalist forces. The Parliament passed a resolution to crown Khalatbari Tonekaboni the new king of Persia. Khalatbari refused the title and instead urged a constitutional democracy. Anita Khalatbari also known as Anahita Khalatbari was raised and educated in London, England where she studied Politics and Sociology. Despite her conservative father's approval, she also studied acting and singing throughout her childhood and teenage years in England. She later moved to the United States and pursued her passion in California. She studied broadcasting as well and started her career as a journalist and worked for many American Radio and TV stations as a News Anchor/Reporter and Show Host. Anahita Khalatbari is fluent in both English and Persian languages and has been active in the Persian media as well. Throughout her career, Anita Khalatbari has interviewed many different political figures and entertainment personalities. Anahita Khalatbari is the first Persian journalist who interviewed Larry King. Anita Khalatbari's superb acting skills in the romantic comedy "Shirin in Love" movie was praised by the great film critic Roger Ebert where he likens Anita Khalatbari's acting to that of Faye Dunaway's in the movie "Mommie Dearest".
