Andy Schaudt is an entrepreneur, executive, professor, researcher, and author with experience being interviewed across a variety of digital media outlets including TV and film. He has two decades of experience in researching and designing human-centered innovative products and services across numerous industries, most notably transportation and medical. A few examples of his work can be found in Wired, Washington Post, NPR, and also cast in the documentaries Autonomy (2019) and Doc Zone: Are We Digital Dummies? (2010). Andy holds a dual appointment at Virginia Tech as a Professor in the business school where he teaches coursework on Entrepreneurship and Technology Strategy, and a Program Director of Automated Vehicle Systems at the university's transportation institute. Prior to his role at Virginia Tech, he was the President of the market research firm Post Launch in Las Vegas, NV, and before that was the Director of Usability Services at the MedStar Institute for Innovation in Washington D.C. Schaudt earned his M.B.A. from Virginia Tech, and his M.S. in Human Factors Psychology from the University of Idaho. He has over 100 publications, technical reports and professional presentations. He lives in Blacksburg Virginia with his wife and three kids.
