In The '80s Ruffell was a highly successful Professional BMX Cyclist, accolades include; 5 Time UK Champion, European Racing & Freestyle Champion, UK 'Young Sportsman Of The Year' World Record Holder and is a Euro BMX Hall Of Famer.His first experience of running events came at age 17 when he created and produced the first ever 'European BMX Freestyle Championships' quickly followed by 'The HoleShot Championships' credited as the worlds first multi-discipline extreme sports competition (10 years before the X Games) HoleShot ran for 4 years in London and featured world-famous skateboard and BMX stars like Tony Hawk, Christian Hosoi, Matt Hoffman, Dennis McCoy & Many others..Ruffell also developed a very successful career in Television hosting six seasons of 'BMX Beat' and three seasons of 'The Kellogg's BMX Racing Champs' both on National UK TV. He racked up over 500 TV appearances and starred in many TV Commercials for brands like Kellogg's Cornflakes and Ready Brek.By The 90's Andy was a founding director of Big Group - a communications company in London and traveled the world producing in-flight entertainment for Cathay Pacific & British Airways as well as commercials and corporate video for Cunard Line & MasterCard.In 1995 Andy Ruffell Co-Created 'The MasterCard MOBO Awards' Europe's First Urban Music Awards Show London UK - ITV / Channel 4 / BBC. The show has recently celebrated 20 years on Television.In 2000 Ruffell created Dancestar 'Electronic Music Awards' in London UK. Dancestar USA was launched in 2002. In 2004 the show became the most widely broadcast Electronic Music event in history shown in 54 countries on networks inc. MTV USA, MTV Europe, Channel 4 UK, Star TV Asia.In 2006 he Co-Founded 'A3TV' The World's First Electronic Dance Music (EDM) TV Platform that broadcast from Key West to West Palm Beach in 5m Households.
