Andy Rivera was born in May 1961 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He is an actor, print model, and producer, known for Gospel According to Harry (1994), Shooting The Prodigal (2015), American Genius (2015), King Lear (2015), and Impure (2016). Playing guitar and singing from his high school and college days, Andy Rivera is not new to entertainment. While serving with the US Army in Berlin in 1993, Andy had the opportunity to do background work on his first feature film, The Innocent, and shared the screen with Anthony Hopkins. Shortly after wrapping that production, he was cast for a principal, speaking role in Gospel According to Harry where he worked alongside Viggo Mortensen. After a quiet period Andy found himself on stage working in five different theater productions at the Kelly Theater in Stuttgart, Germany from 2007-2008, including performing as an upper tenor and soloist in Fiddler on the Roof. Returning to the DC area in 2009, Andy spent some time with an Improv Group before deciding to return to Film, TV, and Theater acting and has been cast in 12 projects during 2014-2015. Andy likes to support student films and does a lot of "pro bono" work for aspiring Directors and Producers in the DC area.
