José Andrés Guardado Hernández (Guadalajara, Mexico, 1986) is a footballer playing for Real Betis Balompié, in the position of midfielder. He came to LaLiga in 2007 from the Atlas de Guadalajara, where he made his debut as a left wing back. After promoting with Deportivo from Second Division, he played for Valencia, Bayer Leverkusen and PSV Eindoven, teams in which he changed his position and gained relevance until his arrival to Real Betis, the team for which he has qualified to play this year in the Europa League. Intelligent, organized, and really skilled with the ball, Andrés has drawn praise from his coach of this season at Real Betis, Quique Setién, who said that he is the best player he has ever coached. In addition, he has already become the fourth player to have played the most games on the Mexican national team, and he is also the current team's captain.
