Andrea Naversen is a veteran newscaster, network television correspondent, newspaper reporter, magazine editor, author and actress. She is currently a news anchor at XETV Fox 6 News in San Diego, California. She also anchored at San Diego television stations KFMB and KUSI.Prior to that, Naversen was a reporter for CBS News in New York and Los Angeles, and a correspondent for ABC News in Los Angeles and London. Her assignments for national news shows including The CBS Evening News, The CBS Morning News, Sunday Morning, ABC's Good Morning America, World News Tonight and Nightline took her all over the United States, Europe and the Middle East.Naversen graduated cum laude from Miami University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She began her journalism career as a reporter for The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, covering everything from politics to the police beat. After freelancing for Time and Business Weeek magazines, she became associate editor of Pittsburgher magazine. Naversen's first television job was at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she served as a general assignment reporter and headed the station's consumer investigative team.Naversen has had featured roles as an anchor and reporter in several television movies, including The Corpse Had a Familiar Face, Two Small Voices, Bloodhounds and Nightman. She appeared frequently in the television series Renegade.
