Amparo Barcia is a Spanish-Mexican actress with a BFA in Theatre/Acting from Long Island University, NY. Born in Valencia, she started playing roles in theatre plays in middle school and high school. During her college years she played Clytemnestra in The Oresteia (ACTF nomination for both the character and the play - 2006), Caliban in The Tempest (ACTF nomination for her character - 2007), The Bride in Blood Wedding, and Iphigenia in "Third Child" , an adaptation of The Oresteia, which took her to the Fringe Theatre Festival in Prague (summer 2007) and to the one in NYC (fall 2007). She graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors. After college, she has done commercials and music videos in New York, Spain, and Mexico. She appeared in T.V. series like The Time In Between (2013), Niños Robados (2013), Guerra de Ídolos (2017), Luis Miguel: La serie (2018), and La Guzmán (2019). She won Best Actress at the 48 hrs Film Project in 2015 for her performance in the short film "Por Piedad, Alejandra". She has appeared in films like Martini, Il Valenciano (2008), Entre Dos Reinos (2011), La Boda de Valentina (2018) and Yo, Fausto (2019) as Carmen. "Yo Fausto" has been in Film Festivals around the world in 2019 and 2020 like San Diego Latin Film Festival, Lleida -Mostra de Cinema Llatinoamericá de Catalunya (Spain), in which they won Audience Award, Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) - class A, and the FICG (Guadalajara International Film Festival, Mexico). She speaks Spanish, English, Italian, and French.
