Vashisth, Amit Kumar was born in Yamuna Nagar, Haryana, India.He spent his boyhood in Haryana and Punjab, SHCS and DAV college, and later went to the Himalayas, Pauri, Garhwal, for graduation, and it was here that his journey of self discovery began, which took him to places across India; Delhi - here he took plunge in the world of theater; Mumbai - professional theater and advertisements, Chennai - did a Diploma course in Cinematography from Mindscreen Film Institute, MFI; before finally entering the Film and Television Institute of India, FTII, Pune, for P.G. Diploma in Acting.While still in FTII, he starred in a musical theater show; Yahoo-the karishma of Shammi Kapoor, and traveled with the troupe throughout India. He did various short films and diploma films of FTII and soon after, moved to Mumbai - the home of Indian Film Industry. Show less «
