A native of Buffalo, New York, Amelie McKendry grew up with a love of performing. She was born of English, Scots-Irish, Polish, Austrian, Welsh, and German decent and named after her great-grandmother, a Welsh opera singer. Inspired by her mother and sister Liz McKendry, a Broadway actress who played all 11 understudy female roles in the Broadway production of "The Producers." Also her grandmother Grace McKendry a well known artist. Amelie decided to pursue a career in acting after high school. She then moved to Los Angeles and worked as an actress, dancer, and model. She graduated from California State University of Los Angeles with a B.A in Theater Arts and Dance. She also competed at the Intercollegiate level playing Soccer, Track, and Basketball.After graduating, Amelie made her television debut in the pilot episode of the short lived TV show Miss Match, starring Alicia Silverstone. Since then, Amelie has appeared in many TV shows, Pilots, Web Series, such as Orange Is The New Black, Law & Order SVU, The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst on HBO, Redheads Anonymous, & The Bold and the Beautiful. Her recent film credits include All We Had, Oppenheimer Strategies, Manhattan Nocturne, Q4: Dream Corporation, The Unemployed, Life of an Actress, Ovum, NYC Rooftop Story, Bubble Girl, and Dry Bones. In 2010, Amelie was named Best Actress at the 48-Hour Film Festival in Buffalo and received the Audience Award for her work. In 2011, Boston International Film Festival. In 2014, won Best Short Film at the Madrid International Film Festival, Indie Fest Award in LA, and Best Producer at the International Film Festival of Manhattan for NYC Rooftop Story. In 2015, 2 Emmy's Television Academy Win and Sundance Film Festival for The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst.When she's not acting & traveling, Amelie also works as a Producer. With over nine years of experience in Marketing, Amelie has also worked on a variety of TV shows. Amelie is a bi-coastal actress in NY and LA.
