Amelia Foxton is an actor and award-winning filmmaker based in Sydney, Australia.Amelia started her performing career aged 13 in The Really Useful Company's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Her Majesty's Theatre in Sydney's Broadway. She then worked for several years as a singer for SBS in both live and recorded performances, including a singing tour of Austria and Germany in 1997.Amelia has performed a large number of roles in professional theatre and musical theatre, short and feature length films, television and radio.Amelia's passion is film, where she is able to bring her training and powerful on-camera presence to the storytelling experience. Since 2018, Amelia has been working both in front of and behind the camera conceiving, writing, directing and editing her own film pieces including award-winning short film Salad Daze (2020) which has been recognised at film festivals around the world and her COVID-19 lockdown film initiative, EXQUISITE CORPSE (2021), making its way to film festivals internationally. Amelia has also appeared in short films SAVING DAYLIGHT (2020) and MIMIC (2021).Amelia is a Producer on the Australian TV Series, PERVERT (in production).
