Amanda Lynn Landry, born Amanda Lynn White on June 6, 1969 in Waterville, Maine to Dorothy Batchelder and Edwin White. She has four older sisters and one older brother, Susan, Connie, Rose, Shirley and Tim. She has one beloved daughter from a previous marriage. Currently, there is a love interest involved in her life. The actress has ancestry of English, Portuguese, Egyptian and some Native American ancestry of the Micmac tribe. She believes the varied blood lines will be an asset to many acting roles. Her mother, Dorothy was an accomplished singer, song writer, guitar player and wrote inspirational songs for some notable artists in the R&B industry and others of her era. Despite her mother's accidental death in 1973, Amanda carries her mother's creative personality, traits and passion for entertainment. The actress says she doesn't mourn the loss of her talented mother but rather celebrates her memory by working harder than most with great tenacity and courage to be the best that she can be and someone her parents would be proud of. Before she became an actress, she began a career in health care, which she adds that it is fulfilling to serve others and give back to your community. She recalls that someone said "We are not here on Earth for ourselves but to serve others." Her acting break came in 2013 when she was cast in her first movie, DJ Stan Da Man. From there she has been cast in various films as she continues to climb the movie industry ladder of success. She adds that hard work, determination and patience have paid off and she appreciates the guidance of her acting mentors. Her first live interview was with The Boston Film Industry Examiner on May 5, 2013. The "newbie" was told she did a great job with her first movie role and could have fooled anyone that it was her first time acting in a movie scene.
