Ama Daetz is a weeknight news anchor for the ABC7 station in San Francisco. Her husband, John Seymour, works for the same station as a field reporter for sports. Before moving to San Francisco, Ama grew up in San Jose, California, with her two older sisters and her parents. After graduating from Loyola Marymount University, she was a news field reporter for various news stations, starting out with the CBS station in Amarillo, Texas, before moving to News3 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. From there, she moved to the NBC station in Detroit and moved to the FOX station in Sacramento, California after two years in Motown.
