Alice was raised with two sisters by a small-town doctor and his wife in Alabama. She was educated in Christian Education and married a Presbyterian minister, and spent many years as primarily a wife and mother, but as her children grew older, she began to do community theatre wherever she was living. Living in Nashville, Tennessee, which has excellent community theatre, she began to blossom as a stage actress in the 1970s. She appeared in many productions, won numerous local awards and achieved local respect and notoriety. Coal Miner's Daughter was her only film. Show less «
