Alexis Miranda was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Early on, her parents noticed she had a real gift for performance and a stage presence that excelled beyond her years. By the age of 12, she'd won pageants, talent shows, and performed at the acclaimed Dallas Children's Theater. Ensuingly, Alexis auditioned and got accepted into the prestigious Booker T. Washington Performing Arts High School, keeping her sights set on honing her talents in theater, music, and dance. There she studied among some of the nation's chief young artist, under the guidance of teachers who'd previously instructed the likes of Norah Jones, Erykah Badu, & Roy Hargrove. Alexis also had a great passion for activism and was soon picked up by the TACT theater troupe that traveled from school to school performing plays promoting positive messages for teens. For the next 4 years she would maintain a vigorous schedule juggling school, plays, dance shows, & recording music. Eventually, she relocated to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount University resorting in a much-needed break from the arts. After two years of studying and sporadically acting and recording music, Alexis finally decided to return to her passion but with a clear-cut focus on ONE thing first- and that was acting. She began a professional career landing an agent and booking a small supporting role in her first film, School Of HardKnocks, after one month. Alexis booked her first lead role in the action feature "Smuggler", set to release in 2015.
