Alexena Whiting (born January 14, 1992) is a Canadian actress with an uncompromising passion for her work in the entertainment industry. Born in North York, ON, Alexena was raised in Guelph, ON before moving to Toronto to pursue her childhood dreams as an actress. Since a young age Alexena has been involved in a variety of different artistic avenues, including dance, gymnastics, singing, theatre, writing and improvisation. Working in the entertainment industry also runs in Alexena's family as she is related to both actress Lois Maxwell (known most notably for her role as Miss Moneypenny alongside Sean Connery in James Bond) and filmmaker Richard Linklater.Since the fourth grade, Alexena has had a profound sense of her dedication and enthusiasm towards the entertainment industry. She attended the University of Toronto as a Drama and Performance major, with a double minor in French and Professional Writing. Alexena also briefly studied at the Université de Laval in Quebec City after high-school to further enhance her French language skills, with the intention of becoming bilingual to work on French films both in Canada and globally.
