Alexander Fost to be eighth season finalist on Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance"Alexander Fost has been tapped as a finalist on "So You Think You Can Dance", Fox's hit dance show, now in it's eight season. Fost is a popular contender with an impressive background. Named Mr. Dance USA in 2006, and Mr. Dance International the following year in Tokyo, Alexander Fost went on to the top ten in the 2008 Youth American Grand Prix ballet.Fost began dancing at the age of 16. His beginnings were in contemporary dance but he was soon inspired toward ballet as his primary training. He received his training from master teachers of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, and has danced professionally with the Media City Ballet, San Pedro Ballet, and the Festival Ballet Company.Fost recently shared an artistic ideal he has nurtured for some time. "I want to show that ballet is not exclusive to the stage, that it can be performed in other venues as well, such as movies, and even television".
