Alex Shimizu began performing with the National Dance Institute in 4th grade at Hunter College Elementary School. He was invited to join their advanced program and was mentored by Jacques d'Amboise. Alongside Jacques, he was featured on the CBS Evening News and NPR with guest host, Christopher Walken. Alex also performed Off-Broadway at Theater for a New Audience and in the film version of Julie Taymor's A Midsummer Night's Dream (2014). New York TV and film credits include Person of Interest (2011), Nickelodeon's Alien Dawn (2013) and a supporting role in the upcoming teen comedy, The Outcasts (2017). Alex now resides in Los Angeles and has worked on Stuck in the Middle (2016), "Scorpion" (2014)_, Community (2009), "Foursome" (2016)_ and booked his first national commercial with director James Mangold.
