Alex Radu (born 24 February 1990) is an Australian actor and presenter. Following his feature debut in Reef Break (2019) an ABC Studio International production, playing the role of a reporter in the crime drama television series. He portrayed villager in the blockbuster Occupation Rainfall (2019) opposite Temuera Morrison and Vince Colosimo. The same year, Radu was cast as support role and plays the part of an accountant named Paul in the first season of comedy drama mini-series El Australian Trip (2019).In 2018, Radu was cast in Australian feature film Myall Creek where he plays a Landowner.In 2011, Radu played Hamlet in TAW's production of Shakespeare, Jamie in Long Day's Journey into Night, also Eilif in Mother Courage and Her Children in 2012. He has appeared in a number of short films, playing lead role Matt in Tales From the Beyond (2018), General in Primal (2017) and wrote and starred in the short film Bunker (2013).Radu began his acting career at the age of thirteen, whilst appearing in theatre productions. After graduating high-school he intended on a career in journalism at AUT University, however his love for acting out-shadowed this pursuit and soon began working on his acting craft whilst receiving training at the renowned Australian school of acting, 'The Actors Workshop' in Brisbane, Queensland. Radu has trained with well known acting coaches, including Paul Booth, Rob Doran & Larry Moss, studying masters such as Grotowsky, Stanislavsky, Uta Hagen and Stella Adler. Radu played the lead role of Edward Mirabell in The Actors Workshop's production The Way of the World which received critical acclaim.Later in his career, Radu pursued studies at The Australian Television and Radio School in Sydney, where he completed his training in Television Presenting with mentor and television icon, Tracey Spicer.In 2017, Radu was the winner of NFTA Gold Coast Australia and took home four awards.He can be found, "I am very much looking forward to working in the next Oscar Award project featuring alongside Denzel Washington!"
