Alexandra McTavish was born and raised in Hong Kong to Wendy, a realtor and Peter McTavish, an entrepreneur. Had she been born a boy, she would have been called Hamish McTavish, possibly one of the silliest Scots names there is!She graduated from University with a Bachelor of Journalism and Economics and worked briefly for the Minister for Defence before choosing a career as an artist. Alex also has an MA in Writing.In 2004, Alex and her family narrowly escaped the devastating tsunami that hit off the coast of Thailand and a fire that destroyed her Covent Garden apartment building. Soon after, she gave birth to the first of two sons.Alex is an actress, writer and producer known for Balboa Blvd, Essayette (2008), House Husbands (2012), Mako Mermaids (2013) and Neighbours (1985). She is also a creative producer for a series of successful multi-disciplinary arts festivals called the Anywhere Theatre Festival that celebrate arts for everyone, right where they live. Show less «
