Alex Gullason grew up in North Vancouver, BC, where her love of performing started like most do; in the ensemble of a community theatre production of Grease. From there she pursued as many facets of the arts as she could until she was accepted into the musical theatre program at Capilano University.She trained there for 3 years and graduated in 2012 with honours. After graduation Alex threw herself into the theatre community with an appetite for learning and has since worked for almost every theatre company in Vancouver. Her unique comedic abilities, versatile vocals and dedicated commitment to each and every character has made her a recurrent name as both an ensemble member and leading lady. She has been humbled to be a part of so many incredible shows and has been lucky enough to tour across Canada with several. Her hard work has been recognized through multiple award nominations as well as an Ovation and Jessie Award win.Alex elevated her love for comedy in 2018 when she was accepted into the Rookie League at Vancouver Theatre Sports. From there she continued to train as well as perform weekly with Blind Tiger Comedy, The Fictionals as well as create her own 2 woman comedy duo called The Dangerous Janes.Alex focus has shifted recently to the film and TV world where she has found delight in a new creative challenges. After working on 3 episodes of Untold Stories of the ER producer Bob Niemack said; "Alex has a remarkable way of being completely at ease and in control on set. It sets the tone for all the other actors. If we didn't have so many independent storylines on ER, I'd have Alex on as a recurring character."In the past year she has been fortunate to work on both Riverdale, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as well as several commercials. She continues to train in on-camera classes and is excited to see where the film and TV world will lead next. Watch for her in 2021 in a new Apple TV+ musical series.
