Aleida Torrent is an actress born in Barcelona, Spain. She started acting at a young age and graduated from the Barcelona Theater School on 2009. Aleida made her professional acting debut in 2005 by joining the top-tier company La Fura dels Baus - a group that performs urban theater in unusual settings and uses a mix of choreography, acrobatic feats in the vein of Cirque du Soleil.She also worked at the Liceu, the Opera Theater of Barcelona, for two consecutive seasons and was part of the ensemble in several of their operas. Her first on-screen appearance was on the Spanish TV Sitcom "13 years and 1 day"in 2009 - she was selected for the role by Barcelona's leading casting director, Pep Armengol. In 2009 moved to the United States and start studying at The Beverly Hills Playhouse. In 2010 Aleida played the lead in the web series Front Seat Chronicles (People's Choice and Best Low-Budget Series Telly Award winner). She worked alongside Jorge Garcia (Lost) in the film "The Lummox". Aleida has never stopped training to hone her skills, she also studied at the Ivana Chubbuck studio and worked her audition skills with Billy O'Leary and Margie Haber. In 2014 Aleida signed with Jesus Ciordia, Antonio Bandera's manager in Spain and moved back there because she booked a series regular in a very popular Soap Opera "La Riera". She co-star with Joel Joan in his sitcom"El Crac", and played Sandra in "Nit i Dia", a very popular thriller TV show that has been sold at the US and UK. She played Francesca in "Der Barcelona Krimi" with the Oscar winner director Jochen Alexander Freydank ("Toyland") and produced by Dreamtool. This 2019 has begun very strong for her, she is in the new featured film of the Pastor brother's "Hogar" and she will work with Isabel Coixet on "Foodie Love" an HBO Show.
